Title: Renaissance Ludomancer of the Realm

Hear ye, hear ye! Gather 'round, for I, Curtis Wright, Veiled Sentinel and Ludomancer of the Realm doth bid thee welcome to the Friends of the Black Rose Society.

With a heart filled with mirth and a spirit thirsting for adventure, I embrace the opportunity to immerse myself in the vibrant tapestry of history, culture, and merriment that the Black Rose Society so graciously offers.

Within the hallowed grounds of the Renaissance Festival, amidst the colorful tapestries and echoing laughter, there exists a cornucopia of delights to tantalize the senses and delight the soul.

Foremost amongst these cherished delights are the beloved entertainers. Pirates Creed, Celtic Mayhem, and the Kamikaze Fireflies are amongst my favorites at fair. And let us not forget the libations that flow freely, warming the heart and lifting the spirits of all who partake.

But perhaps, above all else, it is the sense of community and kinship that truly distinguishes these cherished delights. And so, as the sun sets upon another glorious day, I depart with a heart full of memories and a smile upon my lips, eager to return once more to this magical realm where dreams are made real and every moment is a treasure to behold.

Greetings and salutations to all weary travelers. My muggle name is Kelly and my home Faire is the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival in Eminence, KY.

Since the first time many moons ago when I was introduced to the magical world of Renaissance Faires I was hooked. Some of the best humans I know and the greatest friends I have I met at Faire. I have been fortunate enough to become friends with actual Pirates, Fae, Mermaids and Vikings.

So if you find yourself in the world of Briarwood at the Faire in Kentucky or happen to see this lass out and about - please come up and say “Hello”!

Title: Renaissance Keeper of the Chapter Scrolls

Well met, fair traveler! Pull up a chair by the hearth fire and top off your ale. Allow me to introduce myself. I am an adventurer, journeyman, highwaymen, scalliwag, salty dog, warrior poet, monster slayer, vikinger, pirate, lover of swords and seeker of all things related with warriors, monsters, and magic. But beyond the titles I’d profess to have, earned or not, I’m simply known to all as Dan.

I’ve been an avid Renn faire goer ever since my adolescence and it's never stopped being my favorite thing to do. I hail from Cincinnati, Ohio, traveling to Waynesville at least once every year to escape the mediocrity of modern life, immerse myself in a medieval world of fun, food and friendship, and revel in the experience of donning the identity of the adventurer I envision myself to be, if only for a day.

Outside of Ohio, I’ve embarked on many journeys to Philadelphia to test my prowess at foam fighting in the LARP battles of Dagorhir. After my move down to Florida, I discovered Viking historical reenactment with a close group of warriors who taught me the ways of wielding real steel.

Title: Renaissance Keeper of the Chapter Scrolls

Hello fellow faire folk! My name is Kristen and I am very excited to be joining The Black Rose Society and leading the Florida chapter with my husband, Dan. We have been going to Renaissance faires since we were kids and love going even more as adults.

I am looking forward to growing the Florida chapter and bringing a sense of community and togetherness to the Sunshine State. I am thrilled to make new friends as I grow the chapter. My home faire is practically in my backyard-The Brevard Renaissance Festival In Melbourne, Fl. There are several (more than most states)faires in the state of Florida and I plan to attend as many as I can to sign up as many like-minded faire folk as I can.

I am originally a Mid-Westerner from Detroit, Michigan. My first faire was when I was only 7 years old at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. I remember so vividly being told the story of the Wild Strawberries by one of the traveling minstrels at the Faire. This story and memorable interaction gave me a love for the poet that wrote it, Shel Silverstein, and began my love for poetry and renaissance faires in general. That is what I love most about going to the Faires- I always leave with something new to cherish.

Skål, may your deeds be sung across the nine realms!

Many of you know me as Josh, I have a deep love for all things Renaissance, and Vikingr related. Immersing myself in the Renaissance life for the last 6+ years I’ve met a great deal of friends that I now consider to be like family.

As one of the founders of The Black Rose Society it’s been my pleasure seeing the magic and camaraderie of the Renaissance community come together to support each other by sharing knowledge and resources across the Tri-State and now nation-wide.
